Design Inspiration

Use these examples for inspiration, and keep in mind that we can incorporate Universal Design into just about any home plan you have in mind. The home design you choose will depend on your individual needs and goals. These three home designs are great because of their adaptability and the functional use of the space. Whatever home design you choose, we will work closely with you through both the design and construction of your new home to help you stay within budget and to keep your financial plans intact.   

The Lucy was originally created as an Age-at-Home appropriate home with Universal Design in mind, even with its 2-story plan. 

We designed the Lucy for a customer with Multiple Sclerosis, who wanted a full artist's studio downstairs and a complete upstairs suite with extra bedroom in case the need for in-home care arose. The owner is an artist who wanted to be able to utilize her in-home studio as long as possible. We built the staircase wide enough to accommodate a lift when it becomes necessary. If she chooses, the studio area can be easily converted to a first floor master suite. The Lucy is a perfect example of a home designed on the front end to adapt to the owner's needs in the future.
