We can work with you to design and create a home that suits your needs and unique sensibilities. Following are some home designs we particularly love. Use these examples for inspiration, and keep in mind that we can incorporate Universal Design into just about any home plan you have in mind. The home design you choose will depend on your individual needs and goals. These three home designs are great because of their adaptability and the functional use of the space. Whatever home design you choose, we will work closely with you through both the design and construction of your new home to help you stay within budget and to keep your financial plans intact.
The Janet
We helped to design the Janet with the owner. It has years of her dream home planning in place, while incorporating Universal Design and solid Age at Home principles. The Janet is both beautiful and fully functional, allowing the owner and her family to live in and love their home for as long as possible.
This home has a larger floor plan. The kitchen and living area are exceptionally spacious to allow for wheelchair access throughout. The backyard and front porch are completely wheelchair friendly as well with zero clearance access. The second floor is designed to allow for an elevator to be installed in the future if desired. As is, it could either be outfitted with a stair lift, or serve as living quarters for in-home health care assistance.
The Marion
The Marion is a 1-story home. It's perfect for a level lot, and is a great choice for a Universal Design home.
The Marion is simply beautiful inside and out. With 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a Great Room, Dining Room, Full Kitchen upon entry, 2-car garage, Universal Design entryway and mud room, and a full front porch and back deck, it's an excellent example of a home that's functional and beautiful. The floor plan lends itself to a variety of adaptations that allow for great flexibility in the use of the space.
