Choosing a Home with Universal & Aging in Place Principles Is a Beautiful Thing.
We built The Janet for the wonderful woman who designed it, incorporating her years of "dream home" ideas into the plan. It is one of our favorite examples of a beautiful project where we were able to incorporate Universal Design elements and sound principles for Aging in Place with our customers' dreams for their home -- to ensure that she had the ability to remain in her home for as long as possible.
The Janet is located at the foot of a mountain, built on a flat lot with all wheelchair accessible entrances.
The Janet's kitchen is an excellent example of Universal Design. It was specifically created for wheelchair access and use.
The backyard space of The Janet was made to allow for hours of enjoying the great outdoors from a wheelchair accessible patio, including an outdoor cooking space.
